Our main values and vision are as follow:
- Prayer and Worship
- Leadership
- Community
- Honoring the Roots of our Faith
Prayer and Worship
Isaiah 56:7 “For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples"
Psalm 104:33 “I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being.”
Prayer and Worship is THE integral part of 9th Hour’s success. Currently there are very few European leaders who have a true revelation of the heart of God regarding prayer and worship. Anointed leaders, worship leaders and song writers are born out of revival, and we desire to have this community be a place where the spirit of revival is cultivated and grown, which causes the spirit of intercession to be birthed and hundreds of songs in many different languages to spring forth. We desire to train in instrument playing, worship leading, song writing, understanding the leading of the Holy Spirit, prophetic singing, as well as deepening our understanding of basic Biblical principals, Biblical theology, and training on the importance of intercession, fasting and prayer.
Leadership
Psalm 11:14 “Where there is no leadership the people fall, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.”
1 Peter 4:10 “As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.”
We desire to see leaders raised up in Europe who have a solid foundation. We need people who know who they are in the Lord, have been trained not only in Biblical teaching, but also practical methods such as public speaking, music leading, event planning, time management, communication and more. We want those who become involved to be equipped in whatever field they feel called into, whether that would be in the business place, working in a ministry, or a mixture of both.
Community
Acts 2:42-47“They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer… And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people and the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.”
What is life without friends and family to share it with? Our vision is to establish a community of people who are not only fully committed to God, but also fully committed to each other. The Joy of the Lord is our strength and we desire to have that joy in every day life. We want to cultivate this through monthly activities, weekly outings, dinners, Bible Study groups, sharing meals together and more.
Honoring the Roots of our Faith
Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile”
Genesis 12:3 “I will bless those who bless you”
Isaiah 62:1 “For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.”
The roots of our Christian faith are founded within a promise that God gave to Abraham. Jesus was a Jew as were all his disciples and early followers and therefore the very roots of our faith are grounded in the Jewish faith. God is very clear about what our role as believers should be regarding Israel and the Jewish people. It is our mission to always seek to bless Israel and the Jewish people through anything we do. Practically that will be played out in weekly prayer and worship times focused on Israel and the Jewish people, as well as spreading awareness of the significance that Israel and the Jewish people play in God’s end-time purposes and also in leading yearly trips of young people to Israel.
Our Vision:
Phase I
Brussels House of Prayer (B-HOP)
The greatest spiritual movements have all happened when a community of people dedicated themselves to fasting, worship and prayer. By creating an altar of worship, the heavens began to open over specific geographic locations and with that comes revival, evangelism, renewal, and people dedicating their lives to God.
Our goals with the B-HOP would be:
- Establishing a community of night and day prayer. Initially this would just be corporate times of worship in the morning and evenings and 1 day a month of 24-hour worship, prayer and intercession. This would grow and expand as the community grows and expands.
- Creating an altar of His presence where people from all over Europe can come and get refreshed, renewed and inspired
- Educating and training people on the purpose and importance of establishing houses of prayer throughout the world.
Worship Band
Each member of our team will be actively involved in the worship aspect of 9th Hour. In addition to the B-HOP, we will also be taking the Sounds of Heaven into churches throughout Belgium, France, Switzerland, Holland, Germany and beyond. In doing this, it creates a hunger in the local churches to experience more of God in worship and prayer. Practically this will be done 2-3 times a year by having 10-14 day worship tours where we gather our team, as well as a short term missions team and travel throughout Europe playing at churches and different venues.
Short-Term Missions Landing Zone
Brussels is known as the heart of Europe. Within a few hours on a train, you can be in most of the major cities in Western Europe: London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Prague, Geneva, etc. What better place to serve as a short-term missions landing base for Europe then Brussels? After we move to Phase 2 of securing a specific facility for the ministry base, it is our desire to see the entire five bedroom house originally used as the HOP, be utilized to house groups of short term missions teams.
Networking:
Networking with other local churches and ministries will be another main focus so that we can:
Encourage people in local churches throughout Europe through worship and ministry
Let people know about the B-HOP so that they can get involved
To spread the word about the discipleship school (Phase II)
To have weekly and monthly corporate services where other churches and networks can attend and be involved
To establish a “landing place” for students of the school who desire to be in ministry but don’t know where to start. We can then plug them into ministries and congregations so that they can put the knowledge/experience gained in the school to practical use. (Phase II)
To foster the spirit of unity throughout the churches and networks in Europe
Have citywide outreaches
Host large conferences and meetings (One Thing, Jesus Culture, etc.)
Partnering and Excitement
We have already met, spoken with and strategized with ministries and churches based in Europe and the following are already committed to partnering and supporting 9th Hour:
Antioche Network (A-Net) - www.antioche.be is a large network of churches spread throughout Brussels and Belgium.
Pentecostal European Forum for Youth Ministries (PEFY) – www.pefy.eu is a very large youth network that reaches over 250,000 youth
Explosion - www.explosionbelgium.blogspot.com French speaking youth group network that holds quarterly worship gatherings
Further, ANet has extended an invitation to 9th Hour to be taken under their umbrella network. In doing this, we will have full standing with the Belgian Government and a portion of our support will be taxed so that we can participate in healthcare and other social services that are offered in Belgium.
Phase II
Discipleship School
Our goal is to begin a school that gathers young people together and teaches
Character Building
Worship and Prayer
Biblical Theology in a Practical Way
Discovering Giftings, and
Leadership Training
Our desire is to see a 6-month school established in Brussels where a group of young people from all over Europe and America can be given the tools necessary to walk in the fullness of their giftings and callings. The school would consist of 6 months of specialized teaching from speakers in all walks of life and experiences who would share on specifically focused topics, which would build upon each other culminating with a month long outreach at the end of the school. The school would be for young people who have a desire to dedicate a short time in their life to pursuing the deep things of God, learning basic Biblical teaching, opening themselves up for character growth and more. We desire to see young people who have been struggling and don’t know what path to take, to come to the school, be ministered to, taught and released to do the things the Lord has called them to do. Most importantly, that they are fully equipped for the times to come.
